Description: Families Together, at the Providence Children’s Museum works with the Department of Children, Youth and Families providing an innovative therapeutic visitation program centering around a comforting and playful environment designed for children and parents who are separated by court order due to abuse and neglect. This therapeutic visitation program promotes opportunities for children between the ages of 1 and 11, and their parents to experience a series of visits where they can play and learn together under the supportive guidance of the Museum’s family therapists. The program enhances parenting skills and education about child development and assists families working toward reunification.
