Help Wanted

The Land Before Time

The Department is looking for foster parents able to provide skilled nursing assistance to technologically dependent and /or developmentally disabled children. This is an opportunity to provide specialized care in a home setting and help children grow to their full potential.

The children requiring specialized foster care come with a variety of needs. Those in need of skilled pediatric nursing care may be ventilator dependent; have feeding tubes; have traecheostomies; and be non-ambulatory. Picture of child, in her home, attached to all medical equipment, while sitting in Santa's lap. The children in need of semi-skilled nursing care may have juvenile onset diabetes; seizure disorders; shunts; and behavioral issues. Some of these children are born with special needs; some are hereditary; and some are the result of accidents or abuse and neglect.

If you would like more information on how you can become a foster parent for some very special children, please call Robin Perez, DCYF Foster Parent Recruiter, at 401-528-3791.

If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded.
